Do you have any crash logs from firefox (about:crashes) you can attach to this?

That was the first thing I tried, but all I get is "no crash reports have been submitted". I got it to crash again just now, with the same result.
Looking for a better fitting component, it might be core:js-ctypes, but not sure.
If it's not, ni me and I'll escalate it.

Sounds like this could be a dupe of bug 1509748.

It appears to be the same thing. Same messages about ntdll.dll
FWIW, I tried updating to firefox 76 last night - now it reliably crashes on starting. Also, the .msi installer appears to crash, leaving a partial installation. The .exe installer works OK.
Reverted to version 74 and it is much more stable.
